So hold on to your pivots and let the countdown begin!

12.40 - 13.40 Street Qualifiers.  There will NOT be 1hr practice, just 5 min before contest.
15.10 - 17.00 Street World Finals

This year’s World Streetboard Championships will be held in Mallorca, Spain from the 21st-22nd August 2010.

Suffice to say that this will be THE event of the year.  It’s been officially a decade since we, the riders, started organising our own World Championships.  There will be sun, there will be girls, there will be music and parties, but above all, there will be riding.

Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.

But no… That’s not it.  Gabi Muñoz, this years prime organiser, has taken up the initiative.  He will be releasing one of the following shirts for the event.  All proceeds will go towards prize money for the riders.

They will be released soon.  Remember- support the scene and buy a shirt.

Gabi Muñoz released this unfortunate update about the plans for this year’s Worlds to be held in Mallorca:

“Hi there, yesterday it was known that the Streetboard World Championship will NOT be taking place at the event Mallorca Surf Action 2010 as it will not be held this year due to political issues. After political instability in the Island the party who used to support the event declared not not being in a positive situation to support the event.
Therefore, we are looking for other events or a nice skatepark to celebrate our annual sports competition.
Soon we will announce the location where it will be finally held.

We want to apologise for the inconvenient as some people were already arranging flights and holiday vaccations for the purpose.”

We have however heard rumours that there are efforts being made to hold the event on the Spanish mainland, however we can not verify these as true.

Reel life, probably the only contest even close to reality we have nowadays. 24 hours to do what you want, just remember to take the lens cap off.  This year the circus is heading to Gay Paris, City of lights, well that’s what I read it’s called anyways.

Where are the spots though?

Probably some ultra keen ensembles have spent hours zoomed in and pin dropping. I’d prefer to keep it reel, I mean real. Thump the streets and keep a keen eye.  Look for those tell tale signs, then follow your nose. Praise the gods for the gift of concrete, hold your middle finger up to security and tear that shit up.

In reality, just like you’d do on any other skate mission.

Projects Events  have announced that Streetboarding will be returning to Relentless NASS at this year’s show.  This year will see a The World Big Air Streetboard Championships taking place on the huge Goliath Ramp that last year saw history being made.

Invites are on the way to the invited.  Should you not receive one then get yourself a ticket as this year will be Massive.
